About the project:
As its starting point, Interface takes the relationship between the virtual and the real in our experience of the contemporaneous. It is a fact that the borderline of our experience and distinction between the virtual and the real is becoming evermore porous, and that the experience of the real can easily turn into an ultimate illusion. Interface takes the worlds of the first computer games, their simple functions and graphic quality, and it deals with the way in which the experience of the virtual affirms new possibilities of thinking about our identities: desirable identitites, fetishist identities, false identities, numerous identities that inhabit within us. Interface also questions what the experience of the virtual brings to dance as primarily sensory, perceptive theatrical act.
Interface is the third full evening choreography of  Snježana Abramović Mlković, devised for 8 dancers, members of Zagreb Dance Company and their invited guests. The audience is again invited to enter a highly theatrical, stylistically pure dance language which offers both the intellectual riddle and the top virtuosity of one of the most eminent dance companies in the region.
